Housekeeper

We have a great opportunity for a part-time Housekeeper to join our team! The Housekeeper keeps all areas of the facility in a safe and sanitary condition.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Light housekeeping in resident apartments
  • Maintain cleaning supply inventory
  • Responsible for cleaning all common areas: this includes sweeping, mopping, dusting, etc.
  • Follows established guidelines when using equipment, supplies and chemicals
  • Clean and sanitize public bathrooms multiple times each day
  • Cleaning vacant units and making ready for new move-ins
  • Vacuuming, spot treatment and mopping of common area floors
  • Washing inside windows
  • Clean guest room as needed including laundering linens and towels
  • Interact with residents, families, staff and others in a respectful and courteous manner
  • Other cleaning tasks as assigned

Work Environment

  • Comfortable using and climbing on step stools
  • Certain activities may require repetitive movements including climbing, crawling, crouching, pulling, pushing and lifting up to 30 lbs comfortably
  • Comfortable cleaning apartments that may have a small dog or cat

Knowledge & Skills Required

  • Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
  • Friendly, professional demeanor. Must have patience when dealing with difficult residents
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills; strong attention to detail
  • Must be reliable and able to work independently
  • Basic computer knowledge and typing skills
  • Respect for privacy and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Willingness to be a team player and provide support to all departments as needed

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior work experience in janitorial, custodian or housekeeping role preferred
  • Prior working experience with a senior population a plus

This is a part-time position. Pay depends on experience. Apply in person Monday through Friday between 8:30am and 5:00pm.
